Women in/out of public space. An intergenerational perspective (1965-1970) of the port of Pasaia
Keywords:
woman, public space, private space, National CatholicismAbstract
This study provides an intergenerational perspective on the entry and exit of Spanish women from the public sphere between 1965 and 1970, focusing on the specific context of a working port. It hypothesises that the ideology of National Catholicism promoted a model of the ideal woman that took root in this period. The analysis focuses on how changes in outlook were produced that led women to occupy public space in ways that differed from what had existed previously.Downloads
