Abstract

This article puts forward an analysis model of hereditary love from an anthropological study of emotions over the past three decades, enriched with contributions from current feminist anthropological theory and social theory of the body. Here love is understood as a complex model of thought, emotion and action, calling into question dominant definitions and the emphasis placed on romantic love in the West. Moreover, it is advocated by an analysis perspective on multiple notions, classifications and experiences regarding love, taking into account the social and cultural contexts they are produced in as well as individual and collective practices.
