Abstract

Based on an ongoing research project, this paper presents different forms of sustainable tourism carried out in six protected natural spaces in Andalusia (more specifically in the Nature Reserve of the Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama’s Mountains). It addresses theoretical issues, as the use of concepts such as of social-ecological resilience, to analyse social participation and collective identifications. It centres on the thermal tourism on Alhama de Granada’s Region, its implications, conflicts, as well as the proposals of local actors and various approaches.
