Abstract

In this article, from an autoetnographic perspective, the author narrates the process towards her lesbian motherhood and the construction of her lesboparental family, partly based on her doctoral research. She conducted anthropological research on the maternity of lesbian women in Catalunya. The article approaches this subject from an everyday perspective, with the intention of describing the daily practices of these families. Some of the topics included are personal origins, the self-identification of sexual identity, disclosure to the family, the decision-project of raising a child and the maternal experience, among others.
