The theatre praxis as a political process. An anthropological approach
Keywords:
theatre, performance, activism, experienceAbstract
This article changes the way artistic processes are analysed, specifically theatre and performance, taking into account the process of creation, as well as the show. Our anthropological viewpoint will deal with these issues: a) working the social being’s ontology through the artistic praxis; b) improving the anthropological view through interdisciplinary work; and c) taking a political point of view for rescuing creative processes. By addressing these three perspectives as anthropologists, rather than giving solutions we can, provide new ways of approaching the recurrent question: can theatre be a tool for social transformation?
